Branch History Goodland Branch Library is situated halfway between Imlay City and Marlette on M-53. When the township built its new hall in winter 2003, the original hall was moved to the south end of the fire hall, and turned 180 degrees. The library reopened on April 1, 2003 and now has full use of the entire building. The audio book collection (books-on-tape) is growing at this rural public library to allow our commuting patrons every opportunity to benefit from the exceptional services offered by the Lapeer District Library. In January 2003, the Lapeer County Library System underwent a restructuring transition and changed its name to Lapeer District Library.
