The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will host a used book sale Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24 at the Lapeer Center for Innovation, previously Lapeer West High School.

The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will host a used book sale Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24 at the Lapeer Center for Innovation, previously Lapeer West High School.

Free family meal followed by stories for families with children ages 0-12. Registration required. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer.

Early literacy fun for children 0-5 years old! 

Kindergarten Readiness is a one-hour workshop for parents and caregivers with children 3-5 years old. We teach fun and re-creatable activities at home to help get your little one ready for kindergarten!

The Knitters Group meets at the Metamora Branch Library on Thursdays from 1-3pm in the meeting room. Participants are welcome to gather to knit or do other crafts that can be hand carried. No paints or other liquids allowed.

Job Seeking and Resume Workshop presented by Michigan Works. The workshop will cover different ways to help individuals seek out careers, build their resumes, and offer interview tips.

Come and learn about on lead hazards in plumbing, how to identify lead sources in plumbing and how to provide proper maintenance of your drinking water supply.

Bring your knit, crochet, or other needle art project for an enjoyable evening with other like-minded crafters. The Needles and Hook Club meets on the first Thursday of the month from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Hadley Branch Library.

Writers Circle is a group of local writers who come together once a month to share new writings, get feedback and encouragement, and hopefully, direction as to possible publication. Our writers do fiction, plays, poetry and memoir. 

Starting at 2 PM, head to the DeAngeli lawn to pick up your Summer Reading registration prizes and enjoy a variety of fun activities!

Enjoy popcorn and a movie at the library! We will have relaxing lighting, activity sheets, and coloring pages.

Join us at the library for a fun pick-up game of horseshoes! There are six horseshoe pits available behind the library for you to enjoy.

Join us for story time with a real-life firefighter and learn all about bonfire safety for the summer!

Caregivers will choose colors to seal in a plastic bag and their babies will squish the paint around to create a masterpiece! Participants will take their painting home in the bag, cut away the plastic, and let it air dry.
