Lapeer District Library Card:
A Lapeer District Library card is valid throughout the seven branches in the Lapeer District Library system. No materials can be checked out without a library card. Proof of residency must be provided for library card approval. When a patron owes over $4.00, borrowing privileges are forfeited until the debt is cleared. Please be aware that items checked out on your card become your responsibility. Card replacement cost is $1.00. All information is protected under the Library Privacy Act.
Anyone can use the Lapeer District Library regardless of residency.
Patrons may borrow physical materials without charge if:
- They reside in Lapeer County
- Their home library is part of Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative
- Their home library takes part in the Statewide MILibraryCard program
A $45 non-resident card is available for those patrons not meeting the criteria above.
Patrons residing in Lapeer District Library’s legal service area have full access to digital material. Those patrons outside of the legal service area have limited digital access.
