Beginning this month, the Lapeer District Library will be transitioning to a new catalog system, Polaris. This system will help both staff and patrons with material searches, patron accounts and other library services.
While there has been a lot of work happening to prepare for this switch, some errors are expected. A timeline of the process is listed below with what service areas will be affected.
We are so excited for this upgrade, but please be patient with our staff as we all learn and adjust to our new system.
Thursday, February 19 - Wednesday, February 25, 2026
During this week:
- You may still check out items.
- Returned items will not be checked in.
- New library cards cannot be issued.
- Our online and app may show inaccurate information.
- Holds and requests will be temporarily unavailable.
No items will be due during this time. Due dates will be pushed to the first week of March.
