Local educator and ecologist Peter McCreedy will present research from the fields of cultural anthropology and archaeology, focusing on the prehistory of the Great Lakes region. Featured Michigan field sites include Schultz, Norton, Juntunen, and Younge (Lapeer).
Peter’s presentation will explore Native American technology, architecture, subsistence patterns, long-distance trade, and mound building. Attendees will also experience hands-on displays, historically accurate tool reproductions, and a tasting of hickory milk.
