A special board meeting will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 10 AM at Oregon Twp. Hall 2525 Marathon Rd, Lapeer 48446.

The purpose of the meeting is to hold library director candidate interviews.

Event Details

This program is in partnership with Lapeer County EMS. 

This course is offered through the American Safety and Health Institute and will cover everything you will need to run a babysitting business, such as: safety and injury prevention, basic caregiving skills, first aid and more. Participants of the program will leave with an American Safety and Health Institute certification card that is good for up to two years. While this 5 hour program was developed for ages 11-15 years old, teens up to the age of 18 are also welcome.

Lunch will be provided by the Lapeer District Library. The class will be held at the Lapeer County EMS building located at 3565 W Genesee St, Lapeer, MI 48446.
