Event Details

Naturalist Paul Hitch will talk about the history of homesteading in the US, particularly the Homestead Act of 1862 and population settling in the West. Hitch will also cover cultivating and living off the land, self-sufficiency and crop harvesting. Hitch will also talk about modern homesteading along with some quick and easy tips to get started.
