Join local author, Ellen Patnaude while she discusses her book "You're Not Doing it Right" Loving My Mother Through an Unpredictable Caregiving Journey. Caregiving is hard, no matter who you’re caring for. But society doesn’t really prepare us for caring for our aging family members. And when that family member has dementia, there is another challenging layer added. 

Ellen Patnaude took on this role for her mother in 2017 with a huge amount of trepidation. As her mother's dementia progressed rapidly and aggressively, Ellen searched for resources, support, and stories that mirrored her own experience. She struggled to find what she needed. We may not be able to change the condition of our loved one, but we can change how we talk about it, both to others and to ourselves.
