Playtime for little learners! Friday Friends can help children develop social skills by playing with their peers. Kids of all ages with an adult are welcome to join, but best for ages 2-4.

Come build with LEGO®! For children 4+. 

Babies and their caregivers are invited to a special themed social event made just for them every other month. A short storytime followed by playtime with their new friends. Ages 0-2. 

Child Tutoring: Tutoring is for elementary children between grades 1st through 4th who need assistance in reading and/or math. Kids will have one-to-one instruction with a trained tutor.

Storytime and crafts are selected with preschoolers in mind, but kids of all ages and their families are welcome to join. Storytime space is reserved for children and their caregivers only.

The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will host a used book sale Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24 at the Lapeer Center for Innovation, previously Lapeer West High School.

Free family meal followed by stories for families with children ages 0-12. Registration required. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer.

Early literacy fun for children 0-5 years old! 

Kindergarten Readiness is a one-hour workshop for parents and caregivers with children 3-5 years old. We teach fun and re-creatable activities at home to help get your little one ready for kindergarten!

Starting at 2 PM, head to the DeAngeli lawn to pick up your Summer Reading registration prizes and enjoy a variety of fun activities!

Enjoy popcorn and a movie at the library! We will have relaxing lighting, activity sheets, and coloring pages.

Caregivers will choose colors to seal in a plastic bag and their babies will squish the paint around to create a masterpiece! Participants will take their painting home in the bag, cut away the plastic, and let it air dry.

Join us for storytime, craft and play time! For kids ages 0-5. Registration not required. Storytime space is reserved for children and their caregivers only.

Stop by and create your personal work of art using marbles as your "brush". Fun for all ages.
