Autographing books

A woman signing a book surrounded by young boys.

Mrs. deAngeli often returned to the library that bore her name to autograph her books for children and adults alike. This picture shows Marguerite's visit to Lapeer in 1950 when she was en route to the awarding of her Newbery Medal. At the library, copies of Copper-Toed Boots were signed for Donald Muir (right) and standing left-right: Marshal Smith, Tom Bogardus, Wayne Smith, Arthur Bush and Robert Ferner.
