Learn how to apply and create designs using henna paste with Henna artist Dalia Hartman. All supplies will be provided.

Music and playtime for little learners! Friday Friends can help children develop social skills by playing with their peers. Kids of all ages with an adult are welcome to join, but best for pre-school ages.

Introduction to martial arts teaching basic martial arts skills for kids 5-12. This class is great for building confidence and learning values such as respect, courtesy, and discipline. Brought to you by Dragon Martial Arts of Lapeer.

Learn about self defense techniques that includes awareness, risk reduction, and martial arts. Parent must be present for participants under 18. Registration is required for each class.

Reference librarian and co-author of the book Oakdale: The Lapeer State Home Jan Gillis will host a short presentation then lead participants on a walk back to Oakdale’s remaining cemetery.

Kindergarten Readiness is a one-hour workshop for parents and caregivers with children 3-5 years old. We teach fun and re-creatable activities at home to help get your little one ready for kindergarten!

The Knitters Group meets at the Metamora Branch Library on Thursdays from 1-3pm in the meeting room. Participants are welcome to gather to knit or do other crafts that can be hand carried. No paints or other liquids allowed.

Bring your knit, crochet, or other needle art project for an enjoyable evening with other like-minded crafters. The Needles and Hook Club meets on the first Thursday of the month from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Hadley Branch Library.

Writers Circle is a group of local writers who come together once a month to share new writings, get feedback and encouragement, and hopefully, direction as to possible publication. Our writers do fiction, plays, poetry and memoir.

Join a certified yoga instructor for 45 minutes of gentle outdoor yoga to strengthen the mind and body! Please bring your own yoga mat or towel. Before starting any new exercise you should consult your doctor first.

Themed Math Game Nights are designed for families with children 5-9 years old. Parents and kids will have fun with learning activities that promote skill growth in math, problem-solving, math operations, and number patterns.

The Metamora Book Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1- 3 PM at the Metamora Branch. Registration is not required and new members are always welcome.
